Lindsay Debassige (she/they) Executive Director
Lindsay Debassige is a Two-Spirit M'Chigeeng Anishinabek person born and raised in Sǫ̀mba K'è , Denendeh. Lindsay is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and facilitator for many Northern Initiatives. She is currently pursuing her education to become a Registered Psychologist to bring more gender and sexually diverse Indigenous representation into mental health spaces. Lindsay is passionate about building ethical, anti-racist, decolonial spaces and empowering First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples of Denendeh to reclaim their culture, traditions, language, and identity. #LANDBACK

Cheyenne Haogak (any pronouns) Camp Coordinator
Cheyenne Haogak is a queer, gender non-conforming Inuvialuit and Sahtu-Dene Northerner from all over the NWT. They’ve been involved with Qmunity Camp NWT since its infancy, attending their first camp session in 2020 as a camper. Throughout the years, they’ve grown from camper, to leader-in-training, to camp leader and are now excited to join the team as the camp coordinator! Cheyenne is currently working on a project called the Northern Laughter Movement that will empower Northern Youth through humour, storytelling, and building community. They are dedicated to various art forms and want to support Indigenous Youth pursue their creative passions.

Spike Gray (they/them)
Spike (they/them) is a queer Dehcho Dene person raised and living in amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton, AB). Currently, they are pursuing a PhD at the University of Alberta about Northern Indigenous oral histories of gender diversity, joy, and connections to Land. They love tea, spending time on the Land, and getting to hear a good story! As a board member for Qmunity Camp NWT, they are passionate about creating opportunities for Northern 2SIQTIP to experience transformative connections on the Land.
